Jennifer Aniston urges fans to spread a word about relief aid as India battled a second wave of COVID-19 | English Movie News


Jennifer Aniston is the latest Hollywood celebrity to raise awareness about the COVID crisis in India. Taking to her Instagram account, the actress posted a series of stories, urging fans to spread a word about the relief aid. “A severe second wave of coronavirus infections has swept over India, setting global records for new infections each day over the past five days,” wrote the actress while adding that funds are being raised for ‘immediate relief aid for India’. She also shared details of the same and urged her followers to spread a word, “You don’t have to donate to help – spread the word with whatever platform you have to help build awareness.”


Previously, Hollywood actor James Mcavoy, best known for his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the ‘X-Men’ series, had put out a post urging his fans and friends to extend financial support to the various relief efforts being carried out by NGOs in India. Sharing a video about the same, he said, “I think everyone is aware of the situation in India right now. It is really bad. There is a massive crisis and there is a lack of oxygen.”

Hollywood actors, musicians, television stars, and celebs of Indian origin have been contributing to various charities and also doing their bit to encourage fans to donate to the cause. Jada and Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas, Grammy Award-winning singer Katy Perry, talk show host Ellen Degeneres, television star Mindy Kaling, comedian Lilly Singh along with Sharon Stone, Piper Perabo, Shawn Mendez, Camila Cabello, Willow Smith and ‘Bridgerton’ stars Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran have been actively contribution to the case.
