Mussoorie: An Alluring Land Of Nature

These lines of the great poet introduce nature and its memerizing beauty. Queen of hills Mussoorie has organized with beautiful greeneries, hills, lakes, waterfalls, and the heavenly view of floating clouds. This place has a major attraction for the amazing natural views. It binds hearts, leaves memories, and makes everyone a nature lover.

Mussoorie is located in Uttarakhand. It is a 35km distance from Dehradun. The name Mussoorie is coming from the word mansur, a small bush which has an abundance in this place. It has been the perfect destination for a vacation.

Mussoorie is well known for various educational institutions, training centers, and many famous spots to enjoy. Some of the most visited places are- Mussoorie lake, mall road, Camel’s back road, kempty fall, Dhanaulti, Gun hill, eco-park, etc.

Mussoorie lake is a beautiful place for boating. Except boating, Mussoorie is incomplete to travel.

Mall road

Mall road is another attraction for people for shopping different kinds of attire, household goods, home decors and many more. In the evening it looks stunning with beautiful lights.

Camel’s Back road

Camel’s back road looks like a Camel’s hump. So this place is named so. This is a 3 km road around. Tourists enjoy the sunrise and sunset views from this place.

Kempty Fall

Kempty fall is a witness of beauty. It is the oldest and popular waterfall. The mesmerizing streams make the tourists spellbound. It is a 15km distance from Mussoorie. British officers used to make tea parties here. So it is named from camp-tea to kempty fall. It is in a height of 4500ft.


Dhanaulti is heaven for nature lovers. It’s a calm and quiet place. Tourists enjoy overnight stay in camps. There is an eco-park in Dhanaulti which contains lush green forest. It’s a perfect place to indulge in nature. A lot of adventure activities are available here.

There are many such places to explore. Such an alluring land. It is filled with peace, pleasure, and delight. Every year thousands of tourists came here to spend their holidays. March to June is the best time to explore here because the weather is just perfect at this time. It is the land of beauty. One of the best places in Uttarakhand.

How to reach:

• Mussoorie is 35 km distance from Dehradun. Dehradun Railway station is the nearest railway station. From Dehradun, local buses, cabs are available.
